MIDI-to-OSC Bridge for MOTU^® AVB

As the probably-too-long-for-comfort name states, this application forms a bridge between a MIDI Control Surface and MOTU AVB Mixers via the OSC (Open Sound Control) protocol, allowing tactile control over the powerful audio mixer built into MOTU’s professional line of audio interfaces that support AVB (Audio Video Bridging).

At present, this application supports MIDI Control Surfaces like the Behringer X-Touch that use the Mackie Control Universal (MCU) protocol, have 8 channel faders, plus a Master fader, various buttons and Rotary Encoders and MOTU Pro Audio interfaces that support OSC.

System Requirements

The application is designed to run on Windows, MacOS and Linux and requires the MIDI Control Surface be connected to the computer via USB.

The MOTU AVB Mixer must be reachable over the network that the computer is connected to via the IP Address and Port numbers that the user will supply. With sufficient networking knowledge, the MOTU AVB Mixer can be located anywhere in the world with an internet connection and still be controlled using your MIDI Control Surface and computer wherever you are. Providing this networking knowledge is not part of the service offered by Shadylake Media LLC.
